Who we are
Shahid Hosain is a former ambassador and was Chairman of the Asia Pacific Group at UNESCO’s Executive Board; Yasmin Hosain has been an academic, translator and broadcaster and was also an Associate of Newnham College, Cambridge; Simon Brandenburger was formerly Head of Bonhams Book Department and ran the long-established print dealer Sanders of Oxford.
Assisting us in the cataloguing were prominent experts in their respective fields: Margaret Erskine, specialist in Indian miniatures, was formerly in Sotheby’s Islamic Department. Luke Harris, with a doctorate on eighteenth century British collectors of Indian art, is a journalist on the Art Newspaper. John Goss, a world authority on maps, formerly at Sotheby’s, is the author of The Mapmakers Art.
